Introducing the Revolutionary New Modular Cabling System, RapidRun™

Ideal For the Do-It-Yourselfer! New Cabling System Helps Any
Installation Job To Be Done Easier, Faster, and More Efficiently!

Now Available!

Dayton, Ohio November 16, 2005 – Lastar, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high performance audio/video connectivity solutions, proudly presents RapidRun™ – a new, patent-pending Multi Use Versatile Interconnect system! RapidRun is a modular cable system that consists of two Runners™ and a selection of eight BreakAway™ termination jumpers (or DECORA®* style wall plates coming soon!). The Runners enable easy pull-through while the BreakAways allow you to change terminations in seconds.

The RapidRun system can easily handle UXGA, RGBHV, Component, Composite and S-video along with left and right audio or S/PDIF digital audio signals, in runs from 15 feet to 150 feet. Our unique connector system allows a Runner base cable to be pulled through a ¾-inch conduit with up to a 90-degree sweep. The locking connector enables perfect termination in seconds for either wall plate or flying-lead BreakAway applications. RapidRun is available in either PVC or Plenum versions for a wide variety of installation environments and applications. The modular design allows a cable carrying a VGA signal, for instance, to be easily and almost instantly re-terminated for component HDTV – what incredible flexibility! Additionally, RapidRun supports mix-and-match terminations for custom combination or break-out connections! RapidRun truly is a Multi Use Versatile Interconnect system.

Here’s how easy it is to customize your installation:

1. Choose Your Runner

RapidRun Runners are available in 15, 25, 35, 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150-foot lengths, and come complete with a protective pull cap rated for 15 lb/ft of pulling tension to keep the connection free of debris. There are two choices for Runners:

(1) The PC/Video (UXGA) Runner designed primarily for presentation applications using a computer and projector or other large display. This cable provides three close-tolerance coaxial conductors with full, independent braided shielding and four twisted pairs. Use this runner for: UXGA (HD15) computer signals.

(2) The HT (or 5-Coax) Runner designed primarily for audio/video applications such as a home theater installation or a multi-room A/V hookup. This cable provides five 75-ohm mini-coax conductors, each individually shielded and designed for maximum flexibility. Use this runner for: component video with s-video or component video with digital audio.

Use either runner for: RGBHV, component video (3RCA), or analog audio with your choice of component video, s-video or composite video.

2. Choose Your Terminations

Termination options include termination jumpers or DECORA®* style wall plates for the following signals:
  1. HD15 for UXGA Video
  2. (b) 5-BNC for RGBHV
  3. (c) 5-RCA for Component Video + Audio
  4. 3-RCA plus S-Video for Component Video + S-Video
  5. 4-RCA for Component Video + Digital Audio
  6. 3-RCA for Component Video
  7. 2-RCA plus S-Video for S-Video + L/R Audio
  8. 3-RCA YRW for Composite Video + L/R Audio.
With RapidRun, you can pull a multi-conductor cable with a small, secure connection through a tight space, and still retain the full functionality and performance of a professionally terminated installation! Any installation job can be done easier, faster and more efficiently with the RapidRun system – any job!
These interconnects offer meticulous construction and rigorous engineering in order to ensure optimum quality, and are appropriate for the most demanding installations. All RapidRun products come with a lifetime warranty.
